THIS is why we feature two Member-to-Member (M2M) discounts on each episode of Chamber TV. It’s really easy to view and print coupons online. The discounts are available to Chamber member companies (and ALL of their employees) for personal and business purchases.
Camp David G8 Summit
Our “Frederick Factoid” on Episode 16 was about the number of hotel rooms in Frederick County. (By the way, it’s 2,300 including bed & breakfasts …) It sounds like a lot, but when the G8 Summit comes to Frederick County in May, every available room will be filled.
The Tourism Council of Frederick County has a new landing page, especially for visitors who will be in town for the G8 Summit. Thought you might want to know.

Special guests for Episode 16
On Friday, we’ll record Episode 16 in front of a live studio audience here in the Chamber “studio.” Join us for networking, food, fun, and a chance to hear from our special guests:
- COL Allan Darden - Commander at U.S. Army Garrison - Fort Detrick
- Brian Hammrich - CTO at HIS Sign
We’ve been working to get COL Darden, a Chamber board member, on the show for several months, and we’re thrilled that this episode will work with his schedule. We’ll be talking about the latest news from Fort Detrick, and how it impacts our business community.
HIS Sign is a new Chamber member company, and we’re looking forward to chatting with Brian about Frederick’s deaf community, and how local businesses can provide great customer service to deaf customers.
Any questions you want us to ask our special guests? Leave a comment and we’ll do our best to work it in!
